Scott Kays, CFA, CFP®

Scott Kays, CFA, CFP® founded Kays Financial Advisory Corporation in 1985 and serves as the firm’s President. In addition to running the firm’s operations, Scott serves as KFAC’s Chief Investment Officer. In that capacity, he focuses his time on: studying companies and analyzing their financial status and operations, researching mutual funds and exchange traded funds (ETFs), remaining current on the economic and investment environment, and determining the proper allocation of investments for clients’ portfolios. He was also the chief architect in designing the KFAC Buy-Write Strategy. Scott also serves as a Client Relationship Manager, working with clients to achieve their specific financial goals.

Mr. Kays earned his Certified Financial Planner™ designation in 1986 and his Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 2008. He has also appeared frequently on CNBC, Fox Business Network, and Wall Street Journal Radio. Mr. Kays has written numerous articles and has been featured in the Wall Street Journal. Scott authored two books, Achieving Your Financial Potential (Doubleday, 1999) and Five Key Lessons from Top Money Managers (John Wiley and Sons, 2005).
